Cook’s Country Pork Cutlet and Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Today I’m testing the Cook’s Country TV version of Garlic Mashed Potatoes and throwing in their Crispy Parmesan-Pepper Pork Cutlets to go with it. I’m mixing episodes, but I really wanted the garlic mashed potatoes they had on this week but not the turkey that went with it (it was a rerun) – once a year is enough turkey for me.

Both recipes were a great success! I was able to follow them without difficulty and the food was delicious. My only issue is that I would suggest that it not be made on a weeknight. The potatoes, from beginning to end took almost an hour between crushing the garlic, peeling the potatoes and cooking everything up and although the pork itself was pretty quick, grinding and toasting the breadcrumbs took almost 1/2 hour. Also, at least for me since I rarely fry and am generally a pretty messy cook who likes to use lots of pots, I have left myself with quite a clean-up. For this test I followed the recipe exactly, but I think if I were in a hurry I would opt for store bought breadcrumbs and minced garlic from a jar.
